MissionStatement

Our Goal

The Founders of the Seacoast Artists Guild of South Carolina were very specific about what they hoped to accomplish.  The Mission Statement in the By-laws stated:  “The Guild is dedicated to advancing excellence in the visual arts through teaching, exhibits, workshops and special events.  The Guild seeks to stimulate increased awareness of art and its benefits throughout the area and in the state of South Carolina.”  To date we have been successful in meeting the objectives set forth almost 10 years ago.

 

We have been fortunate to maintain a continuous growth of highly skilled and talented members.  The sharing of skills and techniques in order to advance our members capabilities sets Seacoast apart from other organizations.  We will continue to meet the expectations of our Founding Members by expanding the education programs focused on developing and nurturing young artists-to-be through training programs and the sponsorship of art scholarships. Our focus on charitable causes will be continued and expanded.    Providing an awareness of the arts to our communities and providing our members with opportunities to display their talents remains paramount to the Seacoast Artists Guild.  Come join us…share in the vision!

The Seacoast Artists Guild of South Carolina, Inc. is a local non-profit arts organization with members hailing from all over South Carolina.  It was established by a group of artists interested in sharing their love of the arts with others in the coastal area.  Seacoast is dedicated to bringing opportunities to its members through art exhibits, art sales, workshops, and more.  As part of their mission, the Guild works to open possibilities for those who can't afford to take art lessons and nurture their skills.  They also strive to reach the youth of the area through the visual arts.

GALLERY AT APPLEWOOD:  Any member wishing to be put on the waiting list for the gallery should contact us using our contact page . On Saturday mornings we usually have a featured artist at Applewood.  You do not have to be a member of the gallery to demonstrate on Saturday morning.  It is an opportunity to showcase your work and possibly book in a commission or sell a piece or two while making new acquaintances and friends at Applewood.  Contact us for additional information.
